Decades after their fight at the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament, middle-aged Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence are once again martial arts rivals. During the original filming of The Karate Kid, the late director John G.
The Cobra Kai team scoured the studio’s vault and found a number of previously unseen clips that they were able to incorporate into the show through flashbacks
One of them is Zabka’s real-life mother, who was in the stands from various angles, which by 2018 Ralph Macchio told Uproxx were three completely new angles of the famous crane kick. Many people believe that Miyagi’s name on his tombstone is a continuity error, considering that in Karate Kid 4 (1994) his name is Keisuke, but it was actually previously shown on a sign that Chozen held for him in Karate Kid 2 (1986) and it was Nariyoshi.
However, another interesting fact is that the name given in Karate Kid Part II was not Miyagi’s first name
This means that The Next Karate Kid changed its name, while Cobra Kai kept the name he was previously given. In the film Karate Kid (1984), Miyagi’s first name is briefly shown as Hideo on the dog tags attached to the keys to the 1948 Ford that Daniel received for his birthday.

The plot is interesting, the action scenes are perfectly coordinated, everyone and their brother are back from the movies
