Scenario
A detective and a nun investigate a series of gruesome crimes that seem personal, while grappling with personal issues and uncovering a dark web that raises more questions than answers. Ed Laclan’s mustang is the same color and has the same license plate. Nurse Redd: It gives me chills just thinking about it. I’m almost done with 4 episodes and I feel like I’m watching a combination of someone’s midlife crisis aware of neurodivergent storytelling (but doesn’t care what we think of that adhd method) and then we added fetishistic borderline schizophrenia and then I got lost telling the original story. And yes, I’m aware of how terribly structured that sentence is.
Who is this about?
I imitate the rhythm and the tone and the general confusion of what the hell I’m looking at. Who do I care here? And tell me why (for storytelling sake, tell me why I’m watching this). It’s so ubiquitous that I welcomed Taylor’s boyfriend into the chaotic mix. throw.
I’m not even a fan
That means there is zero fangirling – just me being happy to have something to relate to or even remotely interested in. He has a good vibe – I can see the attraction. But let’s talk about Niecy Nash – I want to talk to her agent because she is undersold and underused. Don’t put him in these ridiculous detective roles that he doesn’t even seem interested in. He’s better than those roles and it doesn’t help to keep trying.
She is wise and beautiful and talented
Find him roles that are different and he will shine. (Sorry, but these roles give us time to reflect on his wasted talent). All the Actors are also quite good – but there is a very unnatural chaotic aspect that hurts to watch. I mean the occasional singing and fire and preaching about life and watching some weird metaphorical depiction of some outdated religious stuff – but I guess that’s okay because you’re writing some online action lines and it’s suddenly not right. the same thing we’ve seen over and over again?
Is there a plot?
Ick. I gave it a six because the Actors showed up and still stayed in the scenes. Maybe they were as confused as I was because I care about that more than the plot.
